What Are the Poker Suits?

There are a total of nine poker suits: spades, hearts, diamonds, clubs, eights, and four of a kind. Each suit has its own ranking and has specific playing strategies. Spades are usually the most aggressive hand and clubs the most passive.

Hearts are in the middle, and diamonds and eights are usually more discreet. Four of a kind is considered the highest hand and is usually played only when all other hands are unsuitable.

Playing strategy for each suit depends on the particular situation. For example, when playing against another player with a strong club hand, it is often advantageous to raise with clubs to try to isolate the club from other cards in the deck.

Conversely, when playing against someone with a weak heart hand, it is often better to call with hearts instead of trying to push for more money.
