Which RAM Slots Are Used in Laptops?

Ram slots are located on the bottom of most laptops, near the battery. They come in two flavors: DDR3 and DDR4.

Laptops with DDR3 slots use lower-powered RAM, while laptops with DDR4 slots use faster, more powerful RAM.

DDR3 RAM is still common in many laptops, because it’s cheaper and more available than DDR4 RAM. Laptops with DDR3 slots may be able to use up to 8GB of RAM.

Laptops with DDR4 slots can use up to 64GB of RAM. This is great for high-end laptops, where you want lots of memory for gaming, multimedia, and other tasks.

However, some laptops with DDR4 slots only support up to 32GB of RAM. So if you need more than that, you’ll need to look for a laptop with a DDR4 slot that supports more RAM.
