Which Slots Should My Ram Be In?

A computer’s RAM (random access memory) is one of its most important components. RAM helps your computer run quickly and smoothly by storing temporary data.

When you want to access a particular piece of data, your computer can quickly look through the RAM to find it.

The more RAM your computer has, the more programs and files it can run simultaneously. A good rule of thumb is to buy a computer with at least 4GB of RAM.

However, 8GB or more is even better.

If you don’t know which slots your ram should be in, there’s not much you can do other than buy the best ram your budget will allow for. In general, the slots where your ram will go will be indicated on the computer itself or on the motherboard box it comes in.
