Who Is Considered the Best Poker Player of All Time?

There is no definitive answer to who is considered the best poker player of all time, as this title is largely subjective. However, some experts and contemporaries who have competed at the highest levels of the game believe that two individuals who stand out above all others are professional player and commentator Phil Ivey and world champion Texas Hold’em player David Sklansky.

Ivey is a nine-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, as well as a seven-time runner-up. He has also won numerous other prestigious poker tournaments, including the 2005 World Poker Tour (WPT) Player of the Year title.

Sklansky, meanwhile, has won more than 25 major tournament titles in his career, including six WSOP bracelets and three world championships in Texas Hold’em. These two poker players have displayed an incredible level of skill and dexterity over the years, which has made them some of the most celebrated competitors in the history of the game.
