Who Won the World Poker Tournament Last Night?

The 2016 World Series of Poker (WSOP) concluded last night with the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em main event. A total of 7,274 players competed for the title, with a final table that featured a number of big names in poker.

The eventual winner was Daniel Negreanu, who outlasted a field of some of the game’s most accomplished players to take home the trophy. Negreanu’s victory was not without controversy, as he was accused of cheating during one part of the tournament.

Nonetheless, he prevailed and will now move on to compete in other WSOP events.

As for the rest of the field, many players were able to cash in on their final tables to earn some serious cash. Other notable winners from last night’s event include Phil Ivey, Antonio Esfandiari, and Scotty Nguyen.

All three men are considered some of the best poker players in the world, and each will no doubt be looking to compete at next year’s WSOP.
