How Are Poker Chips Numbered?

Poker chips are numerically coded with a two-digit number on one face and a three-digit number on the other. The two digits indicate the rank of the chip: one is the Lowest ranking chip, two is middle ranking, and three is the highest ranking.

The three digits indicate the value of the chip. For instance, a chip with a two on one face and a three on the other would be worth two points, while a chip with a one on one face and a four on the other would be worth four points.
