There are a standard 52 cards in a deck of playing cards. In blackjack, the dealer deals two cards face down to each player, then one card face up. The player must then decide whether to stand or take another card.
If the player stands, the next card is turned over to see if it is an Ace, which gives the player an automatic “point” and sets the dealer up for a possible hand with an Ace and two other cards. If the player takes another card, the next card is turned over, and this process continues until someone either stands or busts.
In almost all casinos, there are at least a few decks of playing cards available for purchase so that players can try out different hand strategies before playing real money. The number of decks used in blackjack can vary depending on how many people are playing and how much money is being wagered.
