What Are the Blackjack Payouts?

There are a variety of blackjack payouts, depending on the rules of the game being played. For instance, in basic blackjack, the house edge is 2.24 percent, which means that for every 100 hands played, the player loses 24 cents.

In higher-stakes games, the house edge can be as high as 6.5 percent.

Some casinos offer a “true” blackjack payout table, which gives players the actual odds of getting a given hand and not counting any bonuses or gratuities that may be offered. Other casinos may offer a “percentage” payout table, which counts all bonuses and gratuities as part of the player’s total winnings.
