What Are the Parts of a Roulette Wheel?

A roulette wheel is basically a rotating drum that has a number of small slots. The ball is placed in one of the slots and the wheel is then spun.

As the ball is spun around, it makes contact with the roulette wheel’s spinning spokes and eventually drops into one of the pockets on the wheel.

The roulette wheel has 36 pockets, numbered from 0 to 35. The numbers on a roulette wheel are not random – they are designed to give a player an advantage over the house.

For instance, pocket 0 is on the outside of the wheel, while pocket 36 is in the middle. This means that a player who knows which pocket the ball will drop into has an advantage over someone who doesn’t know which pocket it will go into.
