Who Is the Best Poker Player of All Time?

There is no definitive answer to this question as the best poker player of all time is subjective. However, some experts and pundits feel that the late, great Paul McDonough is the best poker player of all time. McDonough, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 78, was a three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Champion and two-time runner-up. He was also a four-time National Poker Championship (NPC) Champion.

McDonough’s impressive resume includes nine world titles in various card games and he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2002. Other experts feel that Phil Ivey is the best poker player of all time, based on his repeated victories at the WSOP and other major tournaments. Ivey, who is also a three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) Champion, has won more than $10 million in tournament play.
