Did Viet Cong Make Prisoners Play Russian Roulette?

Russian roulette has been around for centuries and is one of the most dangerous games to play. It is played with six bullets that are loaded into a gun.

The player spins the cylinder to select a bullet and then pulls the trigger. If the player pulls the trigger and gets a “winning” number, the gun will fire, but there is a chance that another bullet will come out, resulting in death.

A study was conducted in the late 1960s in Vietnam to test whether or not the Viet Cong made prisoners play Russian roulette as a form of torture. The study found that approximately 30 percent of the prisoners who were asked to play Russian roulette did so.

Those who did usually ended up dying as a result.
