How Is 7 Card Poker Played?

In seven card poker, each player is dealt an initial hand of five cards. After the players have placed their bets, the dealer randomly selects one card from the player’s hand and flips it over to reveal its face. This is also known as the “flop”.

The dealer then flips over the second card, and so on, until all five cards have been revealed. The first player to either place all of their chips in the pot or take all of the other players’ chips loses the hand.

The following are common ways to play seven card poker:

– Classic: Each player begins with two cards face down, plus an extra card that is turned over when starting play. The first player to discard one of their cards (by placing it on the table), or if two players tie for first place, then the next player in turn discards, takes another turn playing with two face down cards and one upcard.

– Stud: Same as classic, but with a fourth card that is turned over when starting play and used as a wildcard (a symbol that can be used to substitute for any other card).

– Omaha: Similar to stud, but with a fourth card that is not turned over when starting play and only used as a wildcard when two or more players are involved in a hand.

– Razz: A fifth card is drawn from the deck and added to each player’s hand before beginning play. This fifth card can be used as either a wildcard or another extra card for playing.
