Who Won the 2015 World Series of Poker?

The 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from July 17-27. The event featured a field of 2,922 players, down from the usual 3,000.

Fourteen different countries were represented at the WSOP, with Australia leading the way with 269 players. Canada was second with 231 players, followed by the United States (209), France (178), and Germany (167).

The final table of the WSOP featured a field of 705 players. The top five finishers received a prize package worth $10,715,000.

First place winner Phil Ivey won $8,793,500, followed by runner-up Daniel Negreanu ($6,793,500), third-place finisher and defending champion briton Barry Greenstein ($5,911,250), fourth-place finisher Daniel Negreanu ($5,041,500), and fifth-place finisher and new world champion Jamie Gold ($4,765,000).
