Who Won the World Series of Poker in 2006?

The 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was held at the Rio in Las Vegas from May 13-17. The event featured a field of 2,604 participants, the largest field ever assembled for the WSOP.

The event featured a $10,000 buy-in, and the top prize was $8 million.

The champion was Greg Raymer, who won his second WSOP championship in a row. Raymer dominated the tournament, finishing with over $6 million in winnings.

He was joined on the final table by Jamie Gold, David Chiu, Phil Hellmuth, and Dominik Hrbaty. Gold finished in second place, Chiu in third, Hellmuth fourth, and Hrbaty fifth.

The 2006 WSOP was truly a World Series of Poker classic. The field was incredibly large and competitive, and it was no easy task to take home the title.
